Our focus is the work of The Blenko Four; the Blenko Glass Company's first four Design Directors. Together, the tenures of Winslow Anderson, Wayne Husted, Joel Philip Myers and John Nickerson constitute the company's Historic Period of 1947-74.

The Historic Period is defined by the Blenko Glass Company's emergence as an important leading figure in American glass and design history thanks largely to its resident designers. The significance of the designers' work in this period is tied to the emerging Studio Glass Movement and America's cultural expansion.
